Letter to the Editor: Protecting the unborn

LETTER TO THE EDITOR

"Voice for Life", Taranaki, commends New Plymouth's Andrea Albany for speaking up for the need to cherish all the 60,000 babies born each year. There is a worldwide trend to profit from the abduction, buying, selling and abuse of children. In November 2013, in Dunedin, a highly regarded international counselling expert, Anne Lastman, spoke about this trafficking and the abortions which ensue, the ultimate abuse of children. In her book, Redeeming Grief she describes the healing pathway available. The tactics employed by radical feminists in Victoria, Australia, the latest state to introduce full term abortion, was to compile "Emily's List " of vulnerable political and economic decision makers in high places and, bypassing consultation with the uninformed public, pass the requisite laws.

It is only when enquirers search, find and see for themselves and speak up, that the truth emerges. The erosion of the Judaeo-Christian ethic is combated by energetic ''anti- slavery" protagonists; they are voices for the voiceless and defenceless.

Sir William Liley, a New Zealander, was the first doctor world wide to treat unborn children as patients and publicise the humanity of the unborn child from conception. Misrepresentation of fundamental truths is a spawning ground for abuse. So protection and cherishing of the born will happen when we protect and cherish the unborn.COLLEEN O'SULLIVAN, MAUREEN GREEN, ROSE SECKER, HELEN ZIELTJES, MERELLE WORNER-NIXON, (STRATFORD) HUGH CUNNINGHAM (HAWERA)By Fairfax NZ NewsRead original article from Stuff.co.nz here.
