Unborn Remembrance Day Taranaki

Join us at 1pm on Saturday the 19th of June as we gather to mark New Zealand’s hidden death toll at the annual Unborn Remembrance Day.

Peaceful vigils will be held outside abortion facilities, in unison, all around NZ as a witness to the tragic loss of 13,236 lives aborted in 2020. We will observe a minute’s silence and crosses will be laid in memory of every unborn child whose life was ended by abortion over the past year.

In the Taranaki Region alone, 245 unborn children were aborted at New Plymouth Sexual Health, and 59 more at Taranaki Base Hospital. This is a decrease of 12 abortion deaths in our community since the previous year, 2019. We will stand outside Taranaki Base Hospital to remember these 304 victims of abortion.

This might be the last year we can legally gather at the very gates of where our Nation's sons and daughters are violently killed if Louisa Wall’s so-called ‘safe areas’ Bill is passed by Parliament. A peaceful pro-life vigil may soon become a criminal act in NZ, and so we must stand while we still can.

Meet us outside the David Street entrance to Taranaki Base Hospital.

Please do not bring any signage to this event. Crosses will be provided. Just bring yourself, your family and your friends.
