What is the ACTIV8?

ACTIV8 was launched in New Zealand in 2009 when Dave Smithson and BJ Whittaker, supported by other members of the Smithson family and the Kapiti branch of Voice for Life, took the initiative to plan and run the very first ‘Stayin’ Alive’ (as it was known back then) training day in Kapiti, just north of Wellington. This would go on to give rise to the ACTIV8 Pro-Life Internship - an annual one week formation event that provides in-depth and practical formation and training for young leaders who are passionate about building the culture of life and being a voice for the unborn and their mothers in New Zealand.
In 2015 this important training and formation ministry moved under the governance and leadership of the team at Focus on the Family NZ.
